The Board of Directors of Grand Strand Humane Society reviewed our By-Laws in 2019 per the suggestion of the consulting firm hired by the City of Myrtle Beach. The firm gave us a forensic assessment of our current operations, facility and overall practices.  During this assessment it was suggested that the board take a closer look at specific Articles in our By-Laws and gave us their recommended changes. The Board of Directors discussed these recommendations and made the following changes to the By-Laws, which you will find by clicking on the provided link below.

The changes are highlighted in red and are either struck through and/or added.  The changes were voted on and approved by the GSHS members and the Board of Directors that attended the Annual Members Meeting which took place on Nov. 13, 2019.

In an effort to save money on printing and postage costs we are working towards sending the notifications about our 2021 Annual Members Meeting via email. We would like  to obtain email addresses from all current members to help in this effort. If you are a current member please ensure you have an updated email address on file with us in order to be notified of the 2021 meeting. To update your email address, please do so by sending your information to our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteergshs@gmail.com
If you need to renew your annual membership or want to join as a member, you may do so by following the provided link below which will take you to the Membership page on our website. There, you can submit the online Membership Application and pay your dues at that time. Please note that by becoming a member you are entitled to voting privileges at the Annual Members Meeting and other perks as outlined in the different membership levels.
