Senior-to-Senior Adoption

Grand Strand Humane Society offers a unique adoption program called Senior to Senior. We offer senior aged animals to be adopted free-of-charge to potential adopters of an advanced age looking for a companion that may have a little less energy and be more low-key. The animals in this program must be at least 6 years of age and the potential adopters at least 60 years of age. The same adoption application process is followed and everything in our adoption program included.

We know that so many animals are overlooked because of their advanced age even though they have many years left ahead of them. This is a win-win program giving these deserving animals an opportunity to show the world that age is just a number.
